Twelve miles in the woods with a thirty-pound backpack; dangling 100 feet off of the ground suspended only by fingertips and a rope that is no bigger than a thumb; squeezing through caves only big enough for an emaciated gopher; barreling down a rock and root riddled trail on two knobby wheels and a very hard aluminum frame; spiraling through swirling rapids on rubber-coated air; slicing through fresh powder on two waxed sticks … welcome to the DCHS Rangers Outdoor Club!!
